START + FINISH LOCATION
The 2009 Men’s Health Urbanathlon will start and finish at Lower Hutchinson Field in Grant Park, between South Columbus Drive and Lake Shore Drive. Official race start is 8:00 a.m. SHARP. A detailed race-day schedule will be available as the event gets closer.
SOLO RACER AND RELAY TEAM OPTIONS
You may register as solo racer or as a relay team.
RELAY TEAM INFORMATION
A relay team consists of three athletes. Male, female and co-ed teams are permitted. Each team member runs only one leg of the race. At the end of each relay segment, the timing chip is transferred to the next teammate to continue the race. Once the last team member crosses the finish line, the final time is calculated by combining all three leg times.
TIMING
The Men’s Health Urbanathlon is a chip-timed race that will have specific wave start times. Please refer to the rules section of the website for more details regarding timing.
BAG CHECK
There will be a bag check available for all Men’s Health Urbanathlon participants. The bag check will be located within the main event site at Lower Hutchinson Field. Bag check will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:45 a.m. SHARP. Bag check will only be available to registered participants with a valid race number. Only bags distributed at packet pickup will be accepted at bag check. Additional bag check information will be contained within your registration packet, and will include a bag identification sticker that will correspond with your race number. Please do not include any valuables in checked bag.
